Happy Girl While Holding a Book — Austin, TX — Little Munchkins Learning Center
By George Aguillon 02 Aug, 2019
Friday, May 24th, was the Class of 2019’s time to shine. After weeks of practice the children were finally able to show off all they had learned for the performance. As always it was a fast, fun filled day. We said good-bye to many familiar faces as their time at Munchkins had ended. Thank you to Mr. George for doing another great job getting the slideshow and music worked out for our special event.

May 26,2017 was Little Munchkins’ annual Graduation ceremony. It was, as always, a pleasure to have our graduates perform and watch the 4 year old program sing and perform as well. This year we were privileged to have a photographer come and capture some fantastic moments.

Christmas has come to our Little Munchkins world. Our Christmas is up and running. Santa is on his way and we will have those pictures soon. We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and remember the true meaning of life. “For to us a child is born,to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

Dear Families, We thank you for the confidence you place in us everyday day as you leave your child in our care. It is our goal to continue to stay informed and implement principles of high quality care. In our effort to do so, we have chosen to enter into a national accreditation process. The process will analyze individual standards of quality child care such as health and safety, administration, parent communication, curriculum, and interactions between staff and children. The accreditation process includes a self-study in which administrators, staff, and parents evaluate the program on these standards. As we work through the self—study process, we will request your perspective and provide opportunities for you to make suggestions. We are asking that you be our partner in trying to forge a positive environment and forward thinking path for your child. You are your child’s most important adult. You are your child’s primary teacher. We are charged with teaching your child but we cannot do it without your help and support. The second step in the process is an onsite validation visit and thorough review of all program materials. The validation visit consists of an experienced early childhood professional visiting our center. The validator will objectively assess the same standard on which we have rated ourselves. The validator’s assessment is closely reviewed by National Accreditation Commission early childhood experts who make the final accreditation decision. We feel that no matter the accreditation outcome, the process will allow us to identify our strengths, implement plans of improvement, and demonstrate our commitment to providing excellence in early care and education. The entire staff and I appreciate your support and encouragement as we enter this process. Respectfully, George Aguillon
Fireman Kneeling — Austin, TX — Little Munchkins Learning Center
By George Aguillon 26 Oct, 2016
The Austin Fire Department came and visited the children and had a chance to talk about some fire safety. They even did a small session of “Stop, Drop and Roll” to help the children visualize what they should do. Of course a visit wouldn’t have been complete without getting to take a tour of the fire ladder truck.

Thank you to St. John United Methodist Church for letting us have a fun filled field trip to their pumpkin patch. We had a fun story time and were able to play on the playground, all while hunting for our perfect little pumpkin.
