National Accreditation Commission (NAC)

Nov 07, 2016
Dear Families,

We thank you for the confidence you place in us everyday day as you leave your child in our care. It is our goal to continue to stay informed and implement principles of high quality care.

In our effort to do so, we have chosen to enter into a national accreditation process. The process will analyze individual standards of quality child care such as health and safety, administration, parent communication, curriculum, and interactions between staff and children. The accreditation process includes a self-study in which administrators, staff, and parents evaluate the program on these standards. As we work through the self—study process, we will request your perspective and provide opportunities for you to make suggestions.

We are asking that you be our partner in trying to forge a positive environment and forward thinking path for your child. You are your child’s most important adult. You are your child’s primary teacher. We are charged with teaching your child but we cannot do it without your help and support.

The second step in the process is an onsite validation visit and thorough review of all program materials. The validation visit consists of an experienced early childhood professional visiting our center. The validator will objectively assess the same standard on which we have rated ourselves.

The validator’s assessment is closely reviewed by National Accreditation Commission early childhood experts who make the final accreditation decision. We feel that no matter the accreditation outcome, the process will allow us to identify our strengths, implement plans of improvement, and demonstrate our commitment to providing excellence in early care and education.

The entire staff and I appreciate your support and encouragement as we enter this process.

Respectfully,

George Aguillon
