Little Munchkins Learning Center has been a proud part of the Austin community since 1976. Founded by James and Darlene Corbin, the center quickly became known for its warm, family-oriented atmosphere and dedication to nurturing children in a Christian-based environment. For 35 years, they built a strong foundation of love, learning, and faith that continues to guide our mission today.
In 2011, ownership was passed to Ed and Brenda Winterroth, who have carried on the tradition of excellence while expanding opportunities for children and families. Their daughter, Crystal Winterroth, now serves as the center’s director, bringing a new generation of leadership and continuing the family legacy. As a family-owned and operated center, we remain committed to providing high-quality care where every child is treated like part of our extended family.
Over the years, Little Munchkins has been recognized for its commitment to children and families. We are honored to have been voted Austin’s Best of the Best in 2020, a reflection of the trust and support of our community. We are also proud to hold a 4-Star Texas Rising Star (TRS) rating, demonstrating our dedication to maintaining the highest standards in early childhood education.
From our beginnings in 1976 to today, our mission has remained the same: to provide a safe, nurturing, and faith-based environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.
